Hermes Local Assistant is a private personal automation setup operated solely for its owner's use. It is not offered as a public service.
The application requests only:
Google Drive read-only access: used to search, inspect, download, export, and read files belonging to the owner.
Google Calendar event access: used to view, create, update, and delete events on calendars accessible to the owner.
Google user data is used only to fulfill tasks explicitly requested or scheduled by the owner, such as locating a file, summarizing information, reviewing a schedule, or managing calendar events.
OAuth credentials are stored locally on systems controlled by the owner. Depending on the configured Hermes workflow, task results or derived information may also appear in local session history, logs, or memory.
When required to complete an owner-requested task, relevant data may be sent to third-party AI/model or API providers that the owner has explicitly configured for Hermes. No Google user data is sold or used for advertising.
Google user data is not sold. It is not disclosed to third parties except when technically necessary to execute a task through services configured by the owner, or when required by law.
Local task history, logs, or memory may be retained according to the owner's local Hermes configuration. The owner can delete local data and revoke Google access at any time through Google Account permissions or by deleting the locally stored OAuth credentials.
The application does not request Gmail access, Contacts access, Google Docs API access, Google Sheets API access, Google Drive write access, or Google Calendar sharing/administration access.
